The positive evolution of human societies depends on learning about and discovering the wisdom of ancient as well as modern Matriarchal societies. All the people of the world today share a common heritage of Matriarchy that evolved over most of human history. Matriarchal cultures are based on natural logic, and contain checks and balances between the needs of members of society and the environment. The transfer of cultural knowledge from Matriarchal to non-Matriarchal societies can provide the tools of regeneration and an expanded frame of reference for communities in order to revitalize social institutions.

Multi-Cultural Matriarchy has the potential to solve many social problems in all of the civilizations that exist on Mother Earth taking into consideration the existing cultural traditions of diverse peoples.

Matriarchy International works to build connections among culturally diverse peoples in the United States and eventually in other countries to support local grassroots initiatives and community-based organizations to enable communities in the development and implementation of Matriarchal oriented initiatives with Women as the bearers of cultural change who sustain the foundation of society and the pulse of civilizational life.

 

Examples of realistic applications of Matriarchy include:

• Informal educational workshops and publications which increase popular consciousness of Matriarchy within a culturally diverse matrix.

• Psychological empowerment initiatives for Women.

• Psycho-educational groups for Women and men on gender socialization, roles, attitudes and behaviors within a Multi-Cultural Matriarchy framework.

• Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence intervention and prevention against Women utilizing Multi- Cultural Matriarchal strategies, principles and values.

• Asset-based development through resource acquisition, ownership, allocation and management by Women.

• Community Development strategies which employ Matriarchal principles and values.

• Female-centered relationships and Matri-mony unions.

• Special projects for single Mother families and ethnic Women.

• Matriarchal community-level governance structures for participartory democratic civil society engagement.

• Matriarchal relational ceremonies which conjugate members of a community whether kinship or socially connected as well as bridging socio-economic class differences through gift economy practices.

We intend to offer an array of comprehensive capacity development services, including the development of community-based projects and programs, educational tools and technical assistance, which will enable individuals, groups and organizations to facilitate innovative Matriarchal oriented solutions while fostering an enriching quality of life utilizing a Multi-Cultural Matriarchal framework.

Using a Community-Based Initiatives Support Organizational Model, Matriarchy International can facilitate linkages and provide a collaborative working environment in which to support different aspirations and needs for the realization of Multi-Cultural Matriarchy.
